Donate Your Soap Scraps To Save Lives

If you're a soap maker wondering what to do with your leftover soap scraps, look no further.

By joining Eco-Soap Bank's #ScrapPack, your unwanted scraps can be turned into bars of soap that reach people in the most vulnerable parts of the world.

about eco-soap bank

Eco-Soap Bank is a humanitarian and environmental non-profit organization that employs women to recycle leftover soap from manufacturers and supply it to those who need it most in the developing world.

Their work delivers three critical impacts:

  • it provides lifesaving access to soap for vulnerable communities
  • it significantly reduces the waste generated by industry
  • it provides livelihoods and free education to disadvantaged women with no other reliable source of income.

Since 2014, Eco-Soap Bank has distributed almost 37 million bars of soap and hygiene education to 8 million people in 25 countries.

Through this process, they have created sustainable, fair-wage jobs with skill training for 154 women in Asia and Africa, and they have saved 3 million kgs of soap from being sent to landfills.

our giveback program

Lack of access to soap remains a critical factor in fighting the spread of preventable diseases worldwide. In some areas of the developing world, only 1% of households have soap for hand washing.

Through Makesy's partnership with Eco-Soap Bank, we're helping connect more soap makers with Eco-Soap Bank's mission in order to help grow the number of manufacturers that donate their soap scraps.

We're also donating a portion of our soap sales. With every $100 you spend on soap materials on our website, we donate 10 bars of soap to Eco-Soap Bank! These bars of soap are distributed through their NGO partners to go to schools, clinics, and village communities.

Eco-Soap Bank pairs all distributions with hygiene education to empower communities with sustainable, healthy habits that halt the spread of preventable diseases.
